Customer Questions:
1.How can I contact Citimove if I have additional questions or issues?
Please email us at help@citimove.com, our staff will usually reply within the hour.

2.What is the benefit of using CitiMove instead of contacting a mover directly?
CitiMove allows you to auction off your move, getting you better rates on more reliable movers. CitiMove has designed the review system to enable you to see the strengths and weaknesses of each of the movers, helping you to find a mover reliable enough to meet your needs. In addition, the movers will have even more incentive for doing a good job with your move, since you will have the opportunity to review them at the end of the move.

3.What information will be revealed to the mover?
Your phone number, email address and apt number will not be shown to the movers. This is to ensure your privacy and to prevent movers from contacting you without your consent. Once you have accepted a bid, the mover with the winning bid will be given your information.

4.Do I need to register a username before submitting my move?
No. After submitting a job you will be asked for a password. Your email and password will then allow you to log in.

5.When does bidding begin?
When you submit a job we will send you an email to activate the job. Once you click on the link in the email to activate the job, bidding begins.

6.What happens if my job expires?
If your job expires then all bids that were submitted for that job are rejected and the job is no longer visible to movers. If you would like to push the date of your move back you may reopen the job for bidding. However, be aware that all the previous bids will have expired and you will only see new bids.

7.Once I submit a job, am I obligated to accept it?
You are much more likely to get a good price from a reliable mover if you use CitiMove. However, if you feel that you no longer have the need for the move, please cancel your job so that movers are not left waiting for the results of your move. If you do not cancel your job by the move time, the move will expire.

8.Can I cancel a job? What happens when I reopen the job?
You can cancel a job if you no longer need the job or if you need to modify the information. However, once you have cancelled the job, all of the bids for the job will be rejected, your email alerts for the job will be removed and the job's status will become 'Cancelled'. You will then have the option to reopen the job and modify the contents of the job.

9.Must I always choose the lowest bid?
You do not always have to choose the lowest bid. If you feel that reliability is more important than price, then you can choose a mover based on their ratings and user reviews.

10.Can I submit a review of a mover more than once?
In an effort to prevent people from reviewing the same mover many times and greatly influencing the mover's overall review, you are not allowed to review a mover more than once. However, you are able to modify your review of the mover at any time after submitting the review. So if a mover performs another move for you, you will not be able to submit another review, but you can still modify your original review.

11.When does the bidding end?
Bidding ends when you accept a bid. Bidding can also end when your job expires. Even though bidding may not have officially ended, if all of your bids have expired, it is unlikely that you will receive many more bids.

12. I accepted a bid but the mover didn't move it, how can I reopen the job?
On the view jobs page, you can click on completed jobs to see all jobs which you've accepted a bid for. There's an option to reopen the job as a new job, this will open an edit screen that will have all the info that you've entered. Just click submit to open the job for bidding again.

13.Are movers obligated to do the move at the price which they've bid at?
Citimove does not guarantee that the movers will honor their bid prices however our review system is designed to provide you with comprehensive information about the quality of service from each mover. Movers will usually honor their bid prices as long as the information that you've entered is correct and the move happens on time. Please be aware that movers will typically charge fees if you are late, not present, underestimated the work, or entered inaccurate information when filling out the job form. If you are unhappy with the service that a mover provides, you can express your opinion using our review system.

14.How can I report a scam or a bad mover? Do you ban movers?
Citimove does not ban movers however our comprehensive review system will allow you to review movers who you feel have provided unsatisfactory service. We do track movers by their contact info, in an effort to make it more difficult for a bad mover to create a new account in our system.

15.Are the movers on Citimove insured?
Citimove provides fields for license and insurance information. To view this information check the mover description. If you do not see this in the mover description, then the mover did not enter anything and they probably do not have insurance. Contact the mover to confirm.

16.Are the bids on Citimove the total amount I have to pay or is this an hourly rate?
The bid is a flat rate. The rate is based on the assumption that the information you've entered is accurate and the move is done on time, otherwise the mover will probably charge additional fees.

Mover Questions:
1.What is the benefit of using CitiMove?
A) CitiMove finds you jobs - CitiMove puts you immediately in contact with many customers that are looking for jobs. There is nothing to lose by bidding on a job.
B) CitiMove saves you time and money - CitiMove helps you to manage and track your jobs. Why spend the time answering phones and writing down information when you could be doing moves and making money?
C) CitiMove allows you to build up a reputation - In an industry where reputation and reliability are of great importance to the customer, it is beneficial to have a means of demonstrating your dedication to the job to prospective customers. CitiMove provides a comprehensive review system as a means for you to establish your reputation.

2.How are my reviews done?
Only customers who you have accepted your bid will have the opportunity to submit a review. The same person cannot submit a review more than once. So if you perform another move for the same customer, they will have the opportunity to modify their review, but they cannot submit another review.

3.When am I given the customer's full address and contact information?
The customer's full address and contact information will only be given to you if your bid is accepted. This is done to preserve the customer's privacy. It also prevents other movers from contacting your customer when you win the bid.

4.When does bidding end?
Bidding ends when the customer accepts a bid, or the move time has passed, whichever comes first.

5.Does Citimove guarantee that the customers have entered accurate information?
There is no guarantee that the customer has entered accurate information. If you are concerned about customers entering incorrect information, please ask the customer questions on the job forum or bid higher to compensate for any last minute changes. When a customer accepts a bid he agrees to the customer-mover agreement, indicating he is aware that the prices can be raised if he submitted incorrect information. CitiMove is not responsible for any misinformation entered by the customer, does not get involved with conflicts under any circumstances, and can not be held accountable for any problems that may occur after a bid has been accepted.

6. Once the bid has been accepted, can I still cancel my bid?
You cannot cancel your bid once it has been accepted. If you cannot perform the move, you must contact the customer as soon as possible. Please be aware that all of the customer's other bids were rejected when he/she accepted your bid and the customer will still have the opportunity to review you.

7. Why can't I see the details of the other movers that are bidding on the job?
Since you will probably be competing against the same movers frequently, CitiMove does not reveal the movers that submitted other bids. This is done to promote fairness in bidding and discourage unjust bidding practices. You can view the winner afterwards.

8. If I choose to charge fees to customers for being late, not assisting with the move as they said they would, etc. where can I enter that information?
You can enter that information in the mover description field of your profile. You can edit this information at any time by choosing 'Edit Profile' on the side menu. If you already have this information on another web site, you can enter the address of your page in your profile.
